ITS BEEN A WILD WINTER WEEK DOWN UNDER - RAIN, RAIN,RAIN

Hi everyone.......It has been a wild weather week in Perth. It has rained everyday and the wind has been
fierce. Not your typical winter weather. Last year, winter was quite "tame" from what we have been told...
This yr., NOT SO MUCH......On occassion, 50- 60mph winds ,,,,,,,,,,,, and blinding rain....the morning can
start out quite beautiful and then IT HITS!!!! - It has been quite cool, which has been absolutely terrific......
I am still working on getting "our place" looking and feeling "like home" - taking me alot longer than I
anticipated.....but, it's fun.....such a departure from my decorating style at home.....
John is doing well.....Loves going to work everyday, really enjoys the easy commute......I hope you
enjoyed the pics of King's Park and Perth's skyline....Take care for now........Everyone stay well and
keep in touch!!

Love always,
John and Sharon

Next blog, I will attach pictures of  downtown Perth along with King's Park - they are getting ready for Queen Elizabeth's visit in October and it is simply beautiful!  Everyone take care for now! Miss all of you!

ONE MONTH DOWN UNDER!!!!!!

Hello everyone...Hope all of you are doing well and STAYING COOL! - We have been following the weather
and can't believe how hot it still is......Does there seem to be any relief in sight? - No pictures to post this time...
SORRY...I found my way over to the Italian section of Perth and I felt just like I did when I was a kid. We would go to the Market (Daddy's side of the family) for what we needed and then to Gram's (Mom's mom) to cook it...Cheeses, salami, fresh pasta, homemade sweet Italian sausage and even an Italian Bakery - you name it..... I WAS IN ITALIAN HEAVEN........ It is in a little town called Northbridge, which is not too far away from where we live.....I cannot get there by bus :) so.......WE BOUGHT OURSELVES A LITTLE "HIP, HOP RED" GETTZ......We pick it up on Wednesday after they are finished with the window tinting........Now the key is "to drive it on the "WRONG" side of the street......It should be very interesting.......I will post pictures of the car next week-end.  John is doing well and getting ready to take his first trip to Karrath, which is about 2 hours by plane and then another 3 hours by car to the actual job site in Onslow.  Before he leaves, we need to go buy him a CROCODILE DUNDEE  hat because the sun is soo strong in Onslow, he needs to wear a hat that will keep his head cool and shaded....

Til next times Mates.........Have a G'day! (I'm getting the lingo down)

Much love as always!

females and JOEY'S!!!!!!!!!!! I was so excited.......Nothing like it and you have NO idea of the beauty
of these animals until you SEE THEM UP CLOSE!!!!!! I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as John
and I did being with them.......Love you all! If you look really closely at the first 2 pictures, you will see the
Joey peeking out of his Mama's pouch!!!!!

WINTER IN AUSTRALIA

Well, it's winter and the weather is just beautiful.. ....It was 32 degrees this morning....no frost on the windows, but "IT WAS COLD" and it felt wonderful.......John and I did not know how cold it would get since this is our first here, but it does get cold.....Our coats are packed in the air shipment and that has not arrived yet....Hopefully by Friday, July 8th......
John is enjoying his job very much.....He has spent the past 1 1/2 weeks with meet and greets - meeting all the people who will be working for and with him on the Wheatstone Project.....He has meet some people who lived in The Woodlands
and are now working here either on his project or the other Chevron project......Once everything settles down, we will
get together with them.....quite a few families......I am getting used to living in "THE CITY" and taking the bus everywhere..
I have even met an Italian lady who is going to take me to the Italian market in Northbridge....I met her quite by accident...
Unfortunately, you cannot get there by bus, so she offered to drive me there and show me the "ITALIAN AREA" of
East Perth.....THAT IS FOR YOU PHEE!..I will keep you informed.......We are doing well,  exploring all that Australia has
to offer!  John and I miss you all very much.....Stay in touch either by e-mail, blog or our telephone - 936-273-6862 (which has not yet gotten hooked up) "SORRY DANCING QUEEN #2" but soon, I promise....in the meantime, keep those e-mails
coming.......and as soon as our Internet gets hooked up....pictures will be posted also.....Love you all......

ITS MOVING DAY - THERE IS NO TURNING BACK NOW!!!!!!!!

Hey mates....We are all moved into our new place - The townhouse is absolutely beautiful....I promise to send pictures once it stops raining.....John has set up his office and he has not stopped smiling....HE HAS HIS OWN SPACE.....All the rooms on the backside of the townhouse face Swan Lake, which flows into the Indian Ocean.....There are 2 balconies off the living room and 1 off the guest bedroom.... We found this place quite by accident.....We just happened to be looking on the computer the night we met with the realor and it popped up.....Absolutely exquisite place.....black and white marble from floor to ceiling in all the bathrooms (3), leather furniture throughout (black and red) wrought iron furniture on the balconies, beautiful furniture in the bedrooms and a wonderful kitchen (with gas).....My job now is to get my 1st pot of  spaghetti sauce on the stove......you know what Gram always said......"you make your house your home when that first pot of spaghetti sauce is simmering on the stove and it smells throughout the house and stays in the walls!", then it is YOUR HOME! Never, in a million years, did I ever think we would be living in Australia and in such a beautiful place.....We can't wait to see everyone.......I hope everyone is well.. Stay in touch and I promise to keep up with my Blog and send pictures soon.....

Lots of Love,
Sharon and John
