a phone call from Nicole - It seems as though a 5.8 earthquake rocked D.C. and Nicole was, of course,
right in the middle of it.....She is ok, but Shakespeare did not fare quite as well.....he was found on the
floor when she got home :( :( - On Friday, John and I went to Pinnaroo Memorial Park to see more roos....
They were as much fun to see this time as they were before.....Enjoy the pics...Walker, Ms. "T" went
back just for you! :) :) :)
On Saturday, we decided to hop on the train and go to Fremantle. That sounds so weird coming from a
"TRUE SUBURBANITE". We got ourselves familiar with the town and plan on going back soon. Fremantle is where the prisoners were sent from the UK, only to discover they had no way of getting out.
Many prisons are still there and we plan on visiting them next trip.
Sunday was quite the experience. John and I participated in the "City to Surf" marathon. It is very similar
to our Houston marathon with a full marathon, 1/2 marathon and a 12K walk/run. You begin in Perth and
you end at the Indian Ocean. What a beautiful sight to see as you come across the finish line........Simply
breathtaking!.. Once again, enjoy the pics!
As if that were not enough, we made our way back to our condo and decided we needed a latte and a cappuchino.....So.....we walked down the riverwalk to our favorite little cafe "Toast", only to discover a mama and baby dolphin were the entertainment for the afternoon..........roos and dolphins all in 1 week-end! John and I sat for more than an hour just enjoying their playtime. Only in Australia.......Enjoy all the pictures...Until next week-end.......miss you all very much!
Our love,
John and Sharon
