ANOTHER WONDERFUL WEEK-END!!!!!

John and I hope that everyone had a great week and an even better week-end!!! Our week started out with
a phone call from Nicole - It seems as though a 5.8 earthquake rocked D.C. and Nicole was, of course,
right in the middle of it.....She is ok, but Shakespeare did not fare quite as well.....he was found on the
floor when she got home :( :( - On Friday, John and I went to Pinnaroo Memorial Park to see more roos....
They were as much fun to see this time as they were before.....Enjoy the pics...Walker, Ms. "T" went
back just for you! :) :) :)

On Saturday, we decided to hop on the train and go to Fremantle. That sounds so weird coming from a
"TRUE SUBURBANITE".  We got ourselves familiar with the town and plan on going back soon.  Fremantle is where the prisoners were sent from the UK, only to discover they had no way of getting out.
Many prisons are still there and we plan on visiting them next trip.

Sunday was quite the experience. John and I participated in the "City to Surf" marathon. It is very similar
to our Houston marathon with a full marathon, 1/2 marathon and a 12K walk/run. You begin in Perth and
you end at the Indian Ocean. What a beautiful sight to see as you come across the finish line........Simply
breathtaking!.. Once again, enjoy the pics!

As if that were not enough, we made our way back to our condo and decided we needed a latte and a cappuchino.....So.....we walked down the riverwalk to our favorite little cafe "Toast", only to discover a mama and baby dolphin were the entertainment for the afternoon..........roos and dolphins all in 1 week-end! John and I sat for more than an hour just enjoying their playtime. Only in Australia.......Enjoy all the pictures...Until next week-end.......miss you all very much!

Our love,
John and Sharon

JAM PACKED WEEK-END!

Hi everyone! Hope you are all well and you had a great week! John and I are checking the weather
reports for Texas everyday and we can't believe how hot it is and that there is no rain in sight. It certainly
has been a long, hot summer....John and I have been quite busy the past couple of days...
Thursday, we had a Chevron/ABU gathering at the Perth Convention Center....it was attended by all
the families who are somehow involved in both the Gorgon and Wheatstone projects. We were introduced
to the Australian culture and aboriginal dancing, along with various foods from around the world, signifying
the diversity of both projects. Italian, Greek Japanese,Chinese and American foods were served. American
sliders seemed to be the biggest hit with all the kiddos.

On Friday, we went to see Wicked at the Burswood Complex. First of all, what a magnificant complex.
We can't wait to show it to our company. You can see if from our condo.  Secondly, Wicked was FABULOUS! I can't John was as enthusiastic about it as I was, but, at least he went! On Saturday,
we had an Expat Mexican Fiesta. Fajitas and Margarita's were overflowing. What a blast! Needless to
say, it was a fabulous couple of days.

On Sunday, John and I went exploring the riverfront. We walked over 4 miles of the Swan River (lots more miles to walk) and took lots of pictures. I think my favorite pictures are of the Black Swans and their babies.
The babies are white when they are born and turn black as they grow!  What beautiful, graceful birds they are. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Have a wonderful week! Stay well, stay safe and stay cool!

2 Months and Counting!!!!!

Hey Everyone!!!!!!  Hope all of you are doing well and trying to beat the heat!!!! - We had another week
of wild winter weather......Storms come out of nowhere - wind gusts are amazing and the rain is blinding.....
The temperature is wonderful though.....

John and I went to Swan Valley this week-end to visit the wine country.......It is absolutely beautiful.....
Napa and Sonoma are still and always will be our favorites, but, Australian wines are wonderful......
Shiraz wines are their speciality and they have plenty of them......We visited Houghton winery and spent

3 1/2 hours there.......What a beautiful place and the people were wonderful......Sandleford was next on
our list.......Not as good as Houghton, but still OK - We ate lunch at a beautiful restaurant in the winery
overlooking the vines......We were told about a nougats factory that specializes in Italian nougat candy......
What kind of Italian would I be if I didn't check it out.........Every possible flavor you could think of.......
and then some........Delicious........We had a great Saturday...

Sunday, John and I went back to King's Park to walk the GLASS BRIDGE......It was truly breathtaking..
Not only was it a gorgeous day, but we were able to see the progress on the area that is being renovated
for Queen Elizabeth's visit.......Can't wait to see the finished product......I have posted pics of everything......
ENJOY!!!!

This week is going to be quite jam packed.....We have an ABU gathering on Thursday, tickets to Wicked
on Friday and a Chevron Mexican Fiesta on Saturday.... Ole' - Til then........Miss you and love you.......
